What an amazing Christmas Messy Church we had this year! It was so well attended by children from the local area, who came with their parents and carers to enjoy a varied and exciting selection of Christmas crafts, followed by food, stories and singing.

Among the many activities available to the children (thanks to the team of wonderful volunteers) were making their own stained glass, decorating Christmas cards using a variety of stamps and block printing, edible advent rings, tree baubles, origami nativity storytellers, pom pom sheep, sticker nativity scenes…and many more! There was also a fantastic spread of party food for the children to enjoy.

I think all who attended would agree that the highlight of the afternoon was the coming together to sing carols at the end of the session. The children (and grown-ups) were in full voice, and it was a wonderful moment of calm and remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Thank you to all who came along to enjoy this event, and to Susan and all of the volunteers who worked so hard to bring this fantastic afternoon together.
