About us
Seeking to bring Jesus Christ into the heart of our community

What we do
Learn and experience more of the Christian Faith in order to serve God and to spread the Good News of Jesus. Grow in faith and share God’s love.

Who we are
We are a friendly and welcoming congregation who are involved in many activities in addition to our regular services. Our Vicar is Rev Clive Jenkins, who is also Vicar of the neighbouring Parish of St Peter ad Vincula, Wisborough Green. There is an active lay ministry in our Parish. Janice Taylor is our Licensed Lay Minister, and our two churchwardens and other lay members of the congregation play an essential part in our services. The parish’s population of about 3000 mostly live in the three villages of Kirdford, Plaistow & Ifold. You can find more details of our events and activities here.

History of
the church
Our Church of England parish falls within the Diocese of Chichester and covers a wide area, encompassing the three villages of Kirdford, Plaistow and Ifold in West Sussex. For this reason, we have two churches (in Kirdford and Plaistow), both of which are centres of worship and symbols of the spiritual life of the parish for many centuries.
Kirdford church is a Grade 1 listed building and falls in the Kirdford Conservation Area, which is the oldest part of the village of Kirdford.
A “Chapel of Ease” was built at Plaistow to supplement the parish church at Kirdford, making it easier for people from the northern part of our large parish to attend church services. This original Chapel of Ease was then replaced in the 1850s by the Victorian church building we see today.
All are welcome to join us at any of our services and events. Please click here for a list of this month’s services. Both churches are open for private prayer during the day.
